My desktop wallet is installed but won't sync with the FreedomCoin network.
After your desktop wallet is installed it needs to make contact with the other FreedomCoin nodes on the peer-to-peer network through the Internet. These Patriot Nodes contain and monitor the FreedomCoin blockchain that verifies the authenticity of all FreedomCoin transactions ever made.
Before it can be a part of the network it first must download the FreedomCoin blockchain. This has grown to be a large file and may take several hours to completely download to your computer, depending on your network speed, etc.
Once your wallet is synchronized you should be able to see any tokens you've sent to your wallet. We recommend you hold off sending FreedomCoins to your wallet until it is completely synced with the rest of the network.
Additional detailed technical information regarding the wallets can be found within this website or at the various FreedomCoin discussion forums.

FreedomCoin transactions are always anonymous and user privacy is always maintained.

If you have coins in your wallet and want to earn dividends from staking. Click the unlock option under the Settings Menu and enter your password. Make sure the 'For staking only' box is checked.
Do not send or receive any coins from your wallet until it is completely synchronized with the rest of the blockchain. They will not show until the chain is completed.
Keep your wallet open and online as much as you can. This allows it to keep current with the blockchain and allows staking.
If your wallet is not synchronizing there are instructions in the Advanced tips to help get you caught up.
